Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club
Created in the 1970s, the Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club is a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer board. Its mission is to develop self-confidence in students by promoting a consideration for others and building a foundation of life skills to make members comfortable in a variety of social situations.
Etiquette is essential in today’s competitive society and members will learn and understand proper etiquette in social and professional situations. Classes will emphasize courtesy and respect for others, a necessary foundation for character and relationships.
Lakeland’s Cotillion program is a seven-year progressive program beginning in sixth grade and completing in twelfth grade. It is a commitment for families when making the decision to join. Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club membership is open to any child attending a Lakeland area school and other surrounding communities. Enrollment is limited by class size and availability. When classes are full, a waiting list will be maintained. Students must complete sixth or seventh grade in order to register for eighth grade. After eighth grade, all years are required for completion of the Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club program.
